Look Who Just Won!

I seriously have a new obsessions with looking at the reaction of people winning. It's awesome.
Anyways, here are our winners!
The winner of the adorable vintage earrings chosen by random.org is:
Janie with her 15th Entry! Congratulations, Janie!

Next, with the winner of the Turquoise Megan Double-Strander is Linnea! Her hilarious entry about what she hates had us all rolling on the floor. Not only did she write her fashion don'ts list, but she wrote us an even funnier song:
(Sung to row row row your boat)

"WHOP DE DO LA DO"

MY TOP FIVE HATE LIST.
1) YOGA PANTS
2) OVER WEARING UGGS
3) ABERCOMBIE & FITCH
4) PATAGONIA
5) VERA BRADLEY

Lets start with number 1.. VICTORIA SECRET YOGA PANTS. Every day since about November I have seen numerous amounts of people wearing yoga pants. I must say they are quite comfortable, but it annoys me how much people over wear these. Especially when the people who are wearing them are not in the best of shape, as in they are round and squishy looking. That was rude but you know what I mean. (:
Number 2. UGGS. Uggs are the most worn shoes at my school. People wear them with everything from skirts to shorts...I have seen it all. Like honestly, why on earth would you wear it with a pair of shorts? Are you hot or cold? You are not telling which one.
Number 3. Abercombie and Fitch. Okay, yes, some of their clothes are attractive. But I dont understand you could go to- I dont know- TARGET, or the local thrift and get almost the exact same pair of jeans for a lower price! Why do people spend 50 bucks on a pair of jeans just cause it has a freaking moose or eagle?
Number 4. Patagonia's. The new North Face at my school! I have a North Face and I am proud to say I have only worn it about 5 times to school this Winter season! People are still wearing them but it is only March..
Number 5. Vera Bradley. EVERYONE AT MY SCHOOL OR AT LEAST THE "IN CROWD" HAS A VERA BRADLEY LUNCH BOX. What is so cool? I like Vera Bradley, but at my school its like a rule if you are not popular you are not allowed to own a Vera Bradley. Crazy. I know you don't wear Vera Bradley, but bags and purses count!

"NORMAL" OUTFIT AT MY SCHOOL: UGGS. YOGA PANTS. ABERCOMBIE AND FITCH SHIRT. TOO MUCH MAKE UP. AND FAKE HAIR.
MY SCHOOL OUTFIT: JEANS. SPERRYS. STRIPPED SWEATER. WHITE SHIRT/CAMI WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT UNDERNEATH.

people at my school just annoy me so much about clothes. BE DIFFERENT. (:
wow so i totally just went on a rampage..
Linnea HS.

Linnea sent us not only the most entries out of anyone (one day she sent three in a row, with added pictures), but the one that we found the most entertaining. Congratulations!

Thanks to all of you for entering in the giveaways and I thank all of you for following! Congratulations, Janie and Linnea!

Utilitarian Vibes

My friend Molly and I decided to go on a hike.
In scout uniforms.
Michael Kors, Kenzo, and others have been helplessly utilitarian this spring. I decided to give the look a little twist of vintage- steering away from the troops, and more into a scout vibe.
Boy scouts are more ready for rugged than any soldier. Well, maybe not, but they are totally on board and ready for the hike.
Everyone's favorite superhero comes to life. The Navajo earrings from Heritage are girly, yet give a surplus mood.
Duck boots are freaking fantastic. Period.
This shot makes it look like we're stuck in the middle of the California Redwoods or something. I wish!
Girl Scouts of America.
The entirety of the sparkles is subtle- it barely peeks through the vest, but it tones down the ruggedness a bit, as with the batman mask.
I first have to say how much I LOVE this background! It's so Urban-Grunge! Actually, this whole shot is perfect, down to the textured tank. That oxford just makes me think of campfires and S'mores.

Molly's military jacket and Chuck Taylor's are both the perfect mix of ruggedness and girly- with the orange zipper accents and the blue sparkles, they're so tomboy chic!
The weather was being sporadic so we basically had to carry around our umbrellas opened up- it would rain for two minutes, stop, and start again 5 minutes later.
Hah! It looks like I have no braces!
One of my favorite shots from the shoot.
Again with the mask.
In the graveyard, too.
A lot of the inspiration for this shoot came from a movie that's coming out next month called Moonrise Kingdom. I made a collage of my favorite stills above- this movie looks too cute! It looks very 60's, with two kids going on an adventure.
I am absolutely in love with these shots- the outfits and accessories are flawless!
Spring's gorgeous flowers are blooming. Yay! Sorry the posting has been a bit infrequent, everyone! I have sailing after school, so times have been hectic! But I have a ton of photo shoots coming right after Easter! See you soon!

FINALLY: The Best Photo Shoot Ever

Hi everyone! You're probably thinking, goodness gracious, what took so long?! And I agree! I'm so sorry for the insane difficulties that have appeared getting these shoots up. But, I promise, it's worth the wait! Take a look and I hope you enjoy!
Who knew Elli's feet could be so artistic?
Throw yourself into the shot.
We got this one, one of my favorites, as the sun was setting. It was beating down onto the grass and reflecting amazing hues. Such awesome colors.
I love the still- it sort of reminds me of a 1950's horror flick. It's too cool, because I was really walk-jump-falling off of the bench, not on the grass.
Swoosh.
This shot is so country. I love it.
You won't believe where we got this one. Are you ready? This shot was taken in a baseball field. In orange sand. The turnout was excellent.
This ghostly picture is awesome and it really emphasizes Elli's hair.

Look into the lens! It's feet. How amazing is that?
I adore this picture. I mean love (ha, ha).
Elli's photographer pose.
I'm still obsessed with this one. Just saying.
